It's been a cold and rainy week here in New England, at least since Wednesday, but this morning, the beauty of summer is shining. Some irresistibles. My only regret: that we haven't perfected web transmission of scent. The front yard is fresh with the fragrance of peonies, blossoms still tight when I woke, now full in the face of the sun.
